CANDIDATES FOR COUNCIL SEAT 3

Vincent Benevente

In his four years on the Town Council, Vince Benevente has proven to be a concerned, no nonsense professional known for his ability to get things done. Fiscally conservative with a proven record of cutting budgets, expanding public safety services and enhancing the quality of life for Indialantic residents, Vince is committed to free enterprise, limited government and traditional values. He has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to provide fiscal responsibility, superior police and fire protection, expand recreational opportunities and facilities as well as improve the Town's drainage and roadways. If re-elected, he will continue to maintain these as priorities to ensure the Town remains the envy of the County.

Vince has represented Indialantic at the State and County levels serving on the Florida League of Cities Criminal Justice Committee, Brevard Water Supply Board and Legislative Priorities. He has served with distinction and can consistently be counted on to take the harder right than the easier wrong.

Active in a number of civic, professional and religious organizations, Vince and his wife Rose reside at 427 Oakland Avenue and have three grown children. Vince needs your vote on November 4, 1997 to continue the work he has been doing for the residents of Indialantic.

Mike Fischer

Our Town is fiscally well managed, our public areas are well maintained and our Police and Fire Departments are exceptional. However, there remains much to be done.

If elected, I will work positively with the Council and staff addressing the various issues at hand.

One of the most public and contentious issues is that of the Fifth Avenue median. There will be no simple answer. I, like many of you, have found the median inconvenient. However, before taking an official position, I will carefully review all options.

More and more young families are moving to Indialantic. I continue to support the Parks and Recreation Committee. I will also ask the Town Manager to look into additional and expanded facilities. Thirdly, our business district needs continued support.

For the past several years I have had the pleasure of sitting on numerous boards and committees. Presently, I serve on the Budget and Finance Committee and Zoning and Planning Board. Last year I was fortunate to receive one of the Citizens of the Year recognitions presented by the Town.

With your support I look forward to continued service. Thank you and I would appreciate your vote in November.
