TREES GALORE! The landscape of Indialantic has been improved through the planting of one hundred and eighty cabbage palm trees. These trees are situated in the Melbourne Causeway median, along the north side of the causeway, along a portion of N. Riverside Place, along SR-A1A at Nance Park and in the center of Nance Park. One-half of the project cost (i.e. $10,000) was provided through an Urban and Community Forestry grant from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The balance of the cost is being provided through Town in-kind services and local cash match. |

POLICE BEAT
We would also like to let the citizens of Indialantic know that we have a limited supply of bicycle helmets available for children who need them. We would like to send out a very special “thank you” to Beach Bicycle Works who not only spearheaded the collection effort for the helmets but also matched the money that was donated. Simply come by the Police Department with your child to pick up a free helmet. Please limit requests to one helmet per child so that we have enough to go around. Lt.
