Les Barlow, Interim Town Manager introduced himself to the Committee.

1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes 98-3, September 29, 1998 approved with corrections.

Item #6 corrected to read "Next meeting October 6, 1998."

2. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Building Official, Brian Barber, attended the meeting. He will go over the Code Book and present his areas of concern at the next meeting.

3. EVALUATE CHAPTER #2

The Committee agreed on the following changes:

2-1 (b) delete "a/k/a planning commission" - combine zoning and planning board as one for uniformity.

amend as follows: "board of trustees of the municipal police officers' and firefighters' retirement/pension trust funds"

2-7 Mr. Young moved to eliminate 2-7, Mrs. Preece seconded. Motion passed unanimously. (Note: check to see if the necessary parts of this section are revealed in Chapter 13 or another appropriate section.)

4. OTHER

Mrs. Spedding moved that the meeting time be changed to 3:00 p.m. each Tuesday. Mrs. Preece seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

5. ADJOURNMENT

Meeting adjourned at 11:05. Next meeting October 13, 1998.
