b.         Sunrise Park:    Parking along Watson Drive will be reconfigured with additional spaces provided on the north side once Indialantic One completes construction.  Waiting for BSE to schedule preparation of the as-builts.

c.         Nance Park:     Waiting for BSE to schedule preparation of the as-builts.  The restrooms have been painted and the contractors will be returning shortly to look at the two easternmost columns.

d.         Orlando Park:   The asphalt walkway along the western edge of the park has been replaced with concrete.  The climbing wall and two spring toys have been ordered.  Mr. Chinault noted that additional walkways will be constructed once the play items are installed.  Committee would like to see benches installed.

Mr. Chinault advised the Committee that the installation of restrooms will be re-visited at the next Council Meeting and invited everyone to attend.

e.              Riverside Park:  BSE is preparing plans for future Committee consideration that       will reflect a walkway through the park as well as a bench swing.  Additionally,       two (2) binoculars (not coin operated) are proposed for the end of the pier.  The       binocular cost is approximately $7,000.

f.              Sunset Park:      No updates.

g.             Triangle Park:  There have been no developments to date regarding having this

property transferred to the Town.  Committee members all agreed they liked the installation of delineators at the fork in the road directing traffic, however advised that the streetlight has been out and needs to be fixed.

V.            Beautification

The beautification sign has been placed at Kempfs.  Committee to discuss voting on new placement of sign at next meeting.

VI.       Parks

Douglas Park:  Ms. Preece mentioned that the adult swing is too high.

Dewey Park:  Ms. Schwanbeck advised that the Park needs to be spruced up.

VII.            Recreation

A.            March 19th Concert in Orlando Park

Committee discussed the need to book events further out and to place in the Newsletter.  Ms. Potts-Hendry agreed to look into booking an event for the Fall.

B.              Easter Egg Hunt

This event is Saturday April 8 at 9:00 a.m. in Orlando Park. Ms. Schwanbeck advised the Committee that everything is in place.  She has contacted the bunny, chicken and clown.  Kelly Radano from the Fire Department volunteered to be our chicken and her costume has been dropped off at the firehouse.  Although the clown’s price has gone up from $60 to $80, Ms. Schwanbeck stated that this price is still very reasonable because the clown is there until the last child leaves, regardless of the time.  Previously everyone agreed to help Ms. Schwanbeck fill the Easter eggs, and she will distribute the supplies.  The four patches are:  (0-2 Ms. Potts-Hendry), (3-4 Ms. Goldner), (5-6 Ms. Goldner’s husband or daughter) and (7-8 Ms. Benevente).  Chairman Goldner previously volunteered her husband, daughter and friends to help.  Ms. Holmgren, secretary to the Committee, will check to see if there is any face paint from last year’s event and advise Ms. Goldner.

Ms. Schwanbeck will call everyone to remind him or her to be at the Park at 8:10 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, as well as ask Mr. Cassedy to turn off the sprinkler system the night before and to cut the grass the week before.
