      I.            CALL TO ORDER AT 9:00 AM

 

Chairman Gust called the meeting to order at 9:00 am.

    II.            APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES

A.     Minutes 05-03 January 24, 2004

        

Ms. Benevente moved to accept prior minutes

Mr. McLaughlin seconded, motion passed unanimously.

  III.            TREASURER’S REPORT-

IV.            TOWN HALL REPORT – R. Cassedy

Mr. Chinault reported on the progress of various projects around town.  The Sunrise Park covered observation deck project was awarded to C & D Dockworks and construction is expected to begin within the next two weeks. 

The Watson Beach Crossover has been closed for repair; expected completion date is March 5.  Next week the beach renourishment will begin.  They will be starting at Flug Avenue and continue south, they will be working twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  They will be using Sunrise Park as a staging area as they did before no problems are anticipated. 

  V.            BEAUTIFICATION

A. Town Council request this committee review the present color code 

Committee discussed this at length.

Ms. Preece made a motion to amend the color code as follows:

            From the Sherwin Williams Collection you may choose from the first four colors, starting from the lightest, from the “Essentials” and “Fundamental Neutrals”, or from the first three colors, starting from the lightest, from the “Color Options”.  You may choose no more than two of these colors for your entire wall area.  You may choose one color from the “Energetic Brights”, using this color for a trim color, not to be used on more than 10% of the paintable surface area of the side on which it is applied; no more than one of these colors may be used.

            Any of the preceding colors may be used as a trim color, but only the aforementioned selections from the “Fundamental Neutrals”, “Essentials” or “Color Options” may be used as wall color. 

Mr. McLaughlin seconded, motion passed unanimously.

 

VI.            PARKS

A.        Discussion of assigned parks

            Ms. Goldner reported that there is no longer a bench located at Indian River Park

            Mr. Deratany reported that the Riverside Place sign at Douglas Park needs to be replaced

            Mr. Gust reported that Orlando Park is fine

            Ms. Schwanbeck reported that both Dewey and Gus Carey Parks are well kept and look fine.

 

B.         Discussion on concert in the park on March 13

Ms. Potts-Hendry reported through Ms. Schwanbeck that everything is set- ads will be placed in Hometown News and Florida Today.  Mr. Gust distributed flyers to hand out to various businesses around town.

A. Delegation of Holiday Chores

                        Tabled until after Easter Egg Hunt

                        B.  Assignment of patches at Easter Egg Hunt

                        1 to 2 year olds – Ms. Potts-Hendry

                        3 to 4 year olds – Ms. Goldner

                        5 to 6 year olds – Ms. Benevente

                        7 to 8 year olds – Mr. McLaughlin and Ms. Preece

                        Ms. Goldners daughter has again graciously offered to do face painting;                                                 Mr. Barker will again be our chicken   and Ms. Ross will be our bunny.
