      I.            CALL TO ORDER AT 10:00 AM

 

Chairman Benevente called the meeting to order at 10:00 am.

    II.            APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES

A.     Minutes 03-07 July 14, 2003

        

Mr. McLaughlin moved to accept prior minutes.

Ms. Young seconded, motion passed unanimously.

  III.            TREASURER’S REPORT-

IV.            TOWN HALL REPORT – R. Cassedy

The water fountain at Douglas Park has been installed.

 

The fence for Sunset Park is set for delivery tomorrow.  The cost is $625.00.

 

  V.            BEAUTIFICATION

VI.            PARKS

A.        Ms. Young made a motion to support the Towns FRDAP application for Sunset Park improvements, Ms. Preece seconded.

B.                 Ms. Schwanbeck made a motion to support the Towns FRDAP application for Nance Park improvements, Ms. Young seconded.

C.                 Mr. Mclaughlin made a motion to purchase plants for Gus Carey Park, Ms. Schwanbeck seconded.

Ms. Schwanbeck made a motion to purchase 3 Norfolk Island Pines at $50.00 each, Ms. Young seconded. 

The money for the trees on Gus Carey Park will not come out of the budget, it was donated by the Bridge Club.

 

             VII.            RECREATION

 

           VIII.            OTHER

A.        Committee erroneously thought that the house number had to be posted on both the house and the mailbox, when it is actually either the house or the mailbox.  This is only being mentioned because two nominees for the beautification award were disqualified for not having it on both.

 

B.                 Mr. Chinault explained that the plug in number is $3400.00.  Ron would like bike path improvements.

$200 for trash receptacles, $2000 for bike path improvements and $1200 for miscellaneous improvements.

Ms. Preece made a motion to accept, Mr. McLaughlin seconded, motion passed unanimously.

 

               IX.            ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING – October 13, 2003.
