1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Hay called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
2. APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES
Minutes No. 98-6 April 14, 1998 were approved as written.
3. TREASURER'S REPORT - K. Kowalski
Mrs. Kowalski gave the Treasurer's Report as follows: Recreation Account balance- $493.61,
Beautification balance-$3,469.84, Luminaria balance $9,134.23 and Orlando Park Play Equipment balance-$8,000.
4. TOWN HALL/COMMUNITY CONCERNS
A. Town Manager -J. Lynch
Mr. Lynch discussed with the Committee recent actions taken by the Town Council regarding improvements to Orlando Park.
B. Dir. Public Works - R. Cassedy
Mr. Cassedy advised the Committee that 100 yards of mulch has been added to the plants around Town and in Orlando Park. He had prices and drawings of signs for Ruth Perry to incorporate into her plan for Riverside Park and the Causeway.
He discussed with the Committee, fence choices and prices for Orlando Park. Three styles were presented, the Committee decided on a split rail fence with an estimated price of $2,600.
Mrs. Kowalski moved that the budget balance (around $3,000) go towards the fence in Orlando Park and remaining funds towards a well in Miramar Park. Mr. Bohlmann seconded, motion passed unanimously.
5. PARKS
A. Report of Committee on Play Equipment
Mrs. Kowalski reported on the play equipment site plan. The equipment agreed on by the Committee is a Red Hen, Scrambler and a Fire Truck. This purchase will be made after receipt of a maintenance contract from Kompan. $8,000 will come out of the Play Equipment Fund and the remainder ($180.00) from the 572-8630 account.
B. Discussion of Meeting with Town Council
The Committee members who were present at the June 2nd Council Workshop relayed their views of the meeting.

7. BEAUTIFICATION
Mrs. Kowalski expressed concern about some dead plants in the berm at Orlando Park. Ron will check the sprinklers. She stated that the Blueberry Tree needs to be trimmed and that the Red Bay Trees don't look good although they have been fertilized.
8. OLD BUSINESS
A. Budget
After discussion, a motion was made by Mrs. Hayward to accept the budget. Mrs. Coburn seconded. It was unanimous.
9. NEW BUSINESS
The Committee discussed the undeveloped north side of Sunrise Park. Mrs. Kowalski suggested that this Committee could write a letter to the county asking for improvements for this area.
10. ADJOURNMENT - Next meeting July 14, 1998 as a Work
