I. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Bozeman called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
At tonight’s Town Council Meeting Chairman Bozeman will present a $175 check and Proclamation to the Eastminster Presbyterian Church thanking them for their contribution to the 55th Anniversary Celebration. Chairman Bozeman gave Ms. Holmgren the Releases signed by all parties involved in the 55th Anniversary Celebration DVD to be filed at Town Hall.
Proposed budget is due by June 1st. Chairman Bozeman informed the Committee she will be away and asked Ms. Marx to submit the proposed budget to the Town Clerk in her absence. Chairman Bozeman asked the Committee to think about making a decision on major purchases for the upcoming budget, i.e., camera, voice recorder and archival storage. Chairman Bozeman proposed spending the money that is left in this year’s budget on a voice recorder. Ms. Andren motioned that the Committee purchase recording equipment before the end of this fiscal year. Ms. Marx seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Chairman Bozeman attended the Melbourne Historical Preservation Meeting last night to gain more information about preserving historical homes in the area. Ms. Andren suggested an historical architectural documentation project creating a new “walking tour guide” for homes built before 1928 and photographic documentation before demolition of any home.
Mr. Constantino volunteered to help with future interviews and will research the cost of the recorder and e-mail Chairman Bozeman with the information.
Ms. Grout suggested submitting the 55th Anniversary Celebration DVD to the Florida Historical Society. Ms. Marx agreed to research the procedures on how this should be presented.
Ms. Andren and Ms. Marx will continue to work on archiving and identify those items that should be kept separately and marked as “ready to go” in the event of an evacuation.
Ms. Quilleux informed the Committee that she will be away from May 21st through August 20th.
The next meeting is June 19th at 8:00 a.m.
Adjournment was at 9:00 a.m.
