MINUTES 07-05

I.                   CALL TO ORDER

I.          CALL TO ORDER

            Chairman Bozeman called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

 

II.                DISCUSSION OF HERITAGE EVENTS

Committee thanked Ms. Bozeman for everything she did to help make this celebration a success.

 

Ms. Bozeman mailed the “Thank You” letters, photos and DVDs to all of Mr. Goldfarb’s colleagues who contributed to the making of the DVD.  Ms. Bozeman is in the process of finalizing the other letters of appreciation to all who participated in the event. 

 

Mr. Miller wished to thank Eastminster Presbyterian Church for their generous contribution and suggested thanking them by donating the $175 that was budgeted for the event to the Church.  Everyone was in agreement, and Ms. Bozeman will provide Ms. Holmgren with a bill for the purchase order. 

 

DVDs and postcards are now on sale at Town Hall. 

 

Ms. Bozeman provided Ms. Holmgren with a copy of the 55th Anniversary Celebration Expenses along with $12.00 from Nancy Grout for the purchase of four DVDs. 

 

III.             REPORT FROM CHAIRMAN BOZEMAN

 

Ms. Bozeman informed the Committee that Mr. Goldfarb wishes to continue to volunteer as a “Guest” in helping with future interviews and providing camera assistance.  Ms. Bozeman will also research purchasing a camera for the Committee. 

 

 

 

IV.              OTHER

 

Ms. Milligan announced that she is resigning from the Committee; however, she will continue to be a resource for the Committee. 

 

Now that the 55th Anniversary Celebration is over, Ms. Bozeman asked the Committee to bring their ideas for next year’s event to the next meeting.   In addition, the Committee was asked to think about projects to work on, including but not limited to:  continuation of interviews, archival process, importance of the historical preservation of the Town of Indialantic, and creating a brochure about the Heritage Committee.  Ms. Bozeman will research Melbourne Ordinance and the Historical Preservation Committee.
