III.       REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF HERITAGE EVENTS.

The 55th Anniversary event will take place Saturday, March 31, 2007.  There will be programs at Eastminster Presbyterian Church from 10 A.M. to 12 noon and activities and music in Orlando Park from 12 noon to 3 P.M.  There will be a narrated trolley tour of the town during the afternoon.

Ms. Grout reported that she had trouble reaching the Brevard Transit Authority re use of the "trolleys" for a Town Tour.  She will work on a script for the tours.

Mr. Goldfarb and Mr. Miller reported on the church facility:  the cost of the large meeting room would be $100 and  set-up and maintenance fees would be about $30.  It was the consensus of the committee that we should use the large room and utilize set-up and maintenance assistance during the program.  Mr. Goldfarb will contact the town manager regarding insurance for the event.

The committee agreed to hold a  workshop August 8th at 8:00 A.M. to discuss the morning program at the  church.

Ms. Bozeman will contact  the Parks, Recreation and Beautification Committee and the Indialantic Homeowners Association to see if they would like to participate in the celebration activities.  She reported that she has the name of a possible resource for reproducing some pieces of the Tradewinds china.

Mr. Goldfarb suggested that we may want to check newspaper archives for information about events that occurred around the time of the town's incorporation.  We might make reproductions available.

IV.       DISCUSSION OF TOWN VIDEO

Mr. Goldfarb has make contact with a professional production group that will assist us with our film of Indialantic's history.  He also has a friend who is an animator who will incorporate special affects into the video.   There will be no charge for any of those services.

New interviews of perhaps ten people will be conducted  on two separate days.  Mr. Goldfarb will be the producer and we will ask Ms. Marx to work on the logistics of the interviews and be co-producer.   We will continue to plan to have transcriptions of all interviews.

The committee would like to make copies of the history DVD available to the public at cost, approximately one or two dollars.
