HERITAGE COMMITTEE

I. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Andren called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MARCH 15, 2005
The minutes were approved as written.
III. PURCHASE OF RECORDING EQUIPMENT & PRACTICE WORKSHOP
Ms. Bozeman passed out copies of an oral history evaluation guide she created utilizing Leonardo Falcon’s program along with Ada Forney’s program.
Ms. Bozeman will refine the guide and e-mail to all members for review at the next meeting.
The Committee agreed that a workshop with Loren Goldfarb should be held quickly in order to start the interview process. Some of the necessary equipment has been purchased:
· Interfit 3200k Tungsten Head (light)-$80
· 500w bulb-$7
· Light stand-$35
· Interfit soft box-$75
· Promaster fluid head tripod-$95
· Tie clip microphone-$25
(Mr. Goldfarb has the previously purchased camcorder.)
IV. SCHEDULING OF INTERVIEWS
Ms. Bozeman will work on a timeline for interviews. Ms. Milligan will work on interview list with Ms. Marx.
Ms. Bozeman will also work with Loren Goldfarb to set up a workshop so that all can get comfortable with the equipment.
V. OTHER
The Committee agreed that Ms. Andren should continue as Chairman.
Ms. Milligan has been in contact with Danny Abbott regarding scanning old photos of the Tradewinds Hotel and the Bahama Beach Club onto a disc.
Chairman Andren purchased a new four-drawer locking file cabinet and transferred the existing documents into the new cabinet.
Mr. Miller, Ms. Marx and Ms. Milligan will take over the organization of the new cabinet. (In the conference room)
VI. ADJOURNMENT
Ms. Andren adjourned the meeting at 8:55 a.m. Next meeting May 17, 2005.
