HERITAGE COMMITTEE

I. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Andren called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

II. VIDEO EQUIPMENT DISCUSSION
The Committee commended Sgt. Baker for his advise on equipment needed for the Oral History Project. His recommendations were taken into consideration for the purchase of a camcorder, digital audio recorder, DVD player/burner and cables necessary to run the equipment. Chairman Andren will get a total price for the needed equipment.
Ms. Marx moved to purchase the camcorder, digital audio recorder, DVD player/burner and cables necessary to run the equipment if the package price doesn’t exceed $700.00. Ms. Bozeman seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
III. PRIORITIZING INTERVIEWEES
If the equipment to do video interviews is purchased within the next couple of weeks, the Committee may be ready to proceed with the interviews by December.
The Committee went over the current list adding new interviewees and prioritized those to be interviewed first.
Ms. Bozeman will put the interview list on an Excel program. Committee members should email Ms. Bozeman background information or phone numbers/addresses of listed subjects.
IV. OTHER
The Committee discussed replacement of some of the signs designating Historical Homes.
Ada Forney presented a draft copy of the Oral History Project and Interview Forms Packet.
A January 2005 date will be selected for a state workshop on oral history.

Chairman Andren adjourned the meeting at 9:20 a.m. Next meeting September 21, 2004
