MINUTES 04-07

June 15, 2004, 8:00 A.M.

I.       CALL TO ORDER

 

Chairman Andren called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

II.        APPROVE MINUTES FROM MAY 18, 2004

 

Minutes from May 18, 2004 were approved as written.

 

III.     INTERVIEW DISCUSSION

 

The Committee discussed the proposal presented by consultant Ada Forney at the June 10 workshop. Ms. Forney is developing a guideline for the Oral History Program.

 

A draft should be presented by July and the program finished in the fall.

 

The purchase of recording equipment was discussed along with cost and type of equipment. Mr. Miller gave a report on his conversation with Sgt. Baker regarding recording equipment use and availability.

 

Chairman Andren will report to the Town Manager and write a letter to Ada outlining the Committee’s requirements for the Oral History Program.

 

The July 20^th regular meeting will also be a training session. August interviews will be scheduled at this time.

 

IV.         OTHER

A.     Election of officers

 

Ms. Marx moved that election of officers be each year in May. Mr. Miller seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
