WORKSHOP MINUTES 04-01

I.       CALL TO ORDER

II.        REVIEW TAPE OF MARY HAYWARD INTERVIEW

 

After viewing the interview tape of Mary Hayward conducted by Jenifer Marx, the Committee discussed procurement of equipment for further interviews. Chairman Andren advised that with the help of Dr. Lori Walters a grant might be possible to develop a video and workbook for groups that would like to conduct oral history interviews.

 

III.     DISCUSS TOWN TALK ARTICLES

 

The goal is January 2004 to include “Town Tales” in the Indialantic “Record” for the February/March issue.

 

IV.          OTHER

·        Regular meetings will be suspended until January 2004. Another workshop will be scheduled before Christmas.

·        Chairman Andren recommended that each Committee member be responsible for bringing in other members or volunteers to help with projects. Chairman Andren also asked that each member compile a list of individuals for oral history interviews and commence with the interviews by January 2004. Selected individuals should be approached to write anecdotes about their life in Indialantic. Excerpts from these anecdotes will be used for the “Town Tales” article in the “Record.”

·        A program will be scheduled for January 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Jenifer Marx as a speaker. Ms. Marx will focus on Jonathan Dickinson for the first program.

 

Proceed with information on the Town website as soon as possible.

V.            ADJOURNMENT
