MINUTES OF A SPECIAL TOWN COUNCIL
MEETING HELD IN THE INDIALANTIC TOWN HALL ON APRIL 6, 2000
PRESENT:
Hon. Robert Cochran, Jr., Mayor
Hon. Vince Benevente, Councilman
Hon. Bruce Bogert, Councilman
Hon. Michael Fischer, Councilman
Paul Gougelman, Town Attorney
Christopher Chinault, Town Manager
Laura Eaton, Town Clerk
ABSENT: Hon. Lisa Leger Frazier, Deputy

This meeting was tape

Mayor Cochran
called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Mayor Cochran
advised that the meeting was called to discuss the parking meter use agreement
for Loco Lobster which is currently for sale.
The current
agreement provides for the lease of 14 meters from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at
$0.05 per hour. Mayor Cochran recommended that the rate be increased to $
0.10 per hour. It was noted that any increase in the rate would require a
revision to the existing ordinance.
Councilman
Benevente agreed that the rate should be increased and recommended $0.25 per
hour.
John B.
MacNeill, S. Riverside Drive, received clarification that the rate has not been
previously increased.
Patrick Mauch,
owner of Ocean View Diner, advised that he will be purchasing Loco Lobster on
April 7th and will not need to lease the additional spaces.
It was the
consensus of the Council that no further action was needed.
Council noted
that the parking meter use agreement for Ocean View Diner will be discussed at
the April 18th regular meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
