1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Preece called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. OATH OF OFFICE/NEW MEMBERS
Attorney Joe Colombo administered the Oath of Office to new membersNorman
Greer and Carroll Williams.
4. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Mr. Brillante nominated Ron Campbell as Chairman, Mr. Young seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Campbell nominated Orlando Brillante as Vice Chairman. Mr. Campbell seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
5. APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES
Minutes No. 98-2, March 31, 1998 were approved as written with Mr Brillante making the motion and Mr.Young as second.
6. OPENING STATEMENT'
Chairman Preece read the opening statement.
7. VIOLATION HEARINGS
A. CEB No. 98-06 Mr. Barry Mulharan Continuing Violation
333 Second Avenue
Indialantic, Fl. 32903Violation of Town Code Section 17-103 (b)(3)(a) - RV (boat) located to the front of the front structure line.
Mr. Brillante moved that Barry Mulharan, owner of property at 333 Second Avenue be found in violation of Section 17-103 (b)(3)(a). This violation is based on the Ordinance previous to August, 1998. ( no RV's were allowed to the front of the front structure line for any amount of time). If Mr. Mulharan becomes in violation of the Ordinance passed after August, 1998 (which allows 48 hours) that he be found in continuing violation and fined $20.00 per day until in compliance. Mr. Young seconded. Motion passed with Mr. Campbell voting nay.
B. CEB No. 98-07 Mr. Robert Johnson Continuing Violation

Indialantic, Fl. 32903
Violation of Town Code Section 17-103 (b)(3)(a) - RV (boat) located to the front of the front structure line.
Attorney Mark Gager advised the Board that since this violation is the same as case #98-06, they may impose the same decision on this case and case #98-08.
Mr. Williams moved that Robert Johnson, owner of property at 500 Watson Drive be found in violation of Section 17-103 (b)(3)(a). This violation is based on the Ordinance previous to August, 1998. ( no RV's were allowed to the front of the front structure line for any amount of time). If Mr. Johnson becomes in violation of Ordinance passed after August, 1998 (which allows 48 hours) he be found in continuing violation and fined $20.00 per day until in compliance. Mr. Young seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
C. CEB No. 98-08 Mr. John Mandeville Continuing Violation

Address of violation: 141 Third Avenue (Mr. Bill Gray, owner of boat)
Violation of Town Code Section 17-103 (b)(3)(a) - RV (boat) located to the front of the front structure line.
Mr. Brillante moved that John Mandeville, owner of property at 141 Third Avenue be found in violation of Section 17-103 (b)(3)(a). This violation is based on the Ordinance previous to August, 1998. ( no RV's were allowed to the front of the front structure line for any amount of time). If Mr. Mandeville becomes in violation of Ordinance passed after August, 1998 (which allows 48 hours) he be found in continuing violation and fined $20.00 per day until in compliance. Mr. Young seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
D. CEB No. 98-09 Mr. Ronald Hargrove Continuing Violation
219 Twelfth Terrace
Indialantic, Fl. 32903
Violation of Town Code Section 17-88 (3) supporting structure of all fences shall face interior of the fenced property.
Brian Barber, Building Inspector for the Town of Indialantic informed the Board that Mr. Hargrove is in compliance as of this date. There was no action on this case.

9. REPORTS OF COMPLIANCE/NON-COMPLIANCE WITH PREVIOUS ORDERS
96-1 Ms. Lillian Ramey

Violation of Town Code Section 5-5 68 - Grass higher than 8".
The Board was advised that Ms. Ramey is once again in non-compliance of previous orders dating from August 19, 1996. An unpaid fine of $510.00 resulted in a lien being placed on her property. The fine of $5.00 per day resumed on October 15, 1998. As of this date she has not complied.

None
11. OLD BUSINESS
At this point Mr. Campbell informed the Board that he had decided to refuse the nomination of Chairman.
Mr. Campbell moved to nominate Ms. Preece as Chairman, Mr. Williams seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
