Personnel

• Volunteers Business meeting staff in attendance

•  Town Staff Meeting (4)

•  Three volunteers from Indialantic and three from Melbourne Beach passed their state exam for Firefighter one leaving  to complete their requirements to be a Firefighter. We are in 100% compliance with the state training requirements.

• Chief Macdonald attended Fire Operations meeting

• Chief Macdonald attended Space Coast Fire Chief’s meeting

• Crew began installing new tile floor in training room

• Indialantic hosted meeting with Communications International

Operations

• The department responded to sixty-five (65) incidents during the month of April, thirty-nine (39) were for medical assistance.

• The Volunteers held their monthly business meeting. 

• Business Inspections completed, three (3)

• Weekly volunteer training programs held

• Hose testing begun and should progress through May

Fire Prevention/Code Enforcement

• The department conducted three (3) fire safety inspections.

• Revisited zero (0) sets of building plans and made necessary adjustments.

• Reviewed one (1) set of building plans.

• Site inspections three (3) at Magnolia Square and Indialantic One

Training

• Training for the month of April-115 hours

• Volunteer work hours in station – 333 Hours

• Volunteer Fire School hours –0

• Volunteer administrative hours – 1.5

• Volunteer training hours – 38.75

• Total volunteer hours – 373.25
