I. CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chairperson Mr. Michelson called the meeting to order at 9:17 a.m.

II. APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES
MINUTES 15-02; NOVEMBER 24, 2014
Mr. Antonetz moved to approve the minutes as presented. Ms. Campbell seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Antonetz asked for a moment of silence, in recognition of Ms. Campbell’s father that recently passed away.

III. TOWN HALL REPORT- MR. CHINAULT
ORLANDO PARK
Staff has prepared a grant application for the FY-15 cycle for FRDAP monies to replace the picnic shelter (approximately 20’ x 36’) and to resurface the basketball courts in the park. The application was submitted to FDEP. The application is ranked 23 out of 51 small projects. Informally the State has indicated that the project has been funded. The grant agreement has been received. Staff is securing prices for the basketball court resurfacing and picnic shelter. Basketball court resurfacing purchase order issued.

DUNE CROSSOVER EXPANSION/RENOVATION
Work has been completed. Crossover #11 has been renovated. CO #10, 12, and Watson Dr. have been renovated and a 4’ x 8’ seating area added. The FDEP Field permit will be secured to widen CO #16 after sea turtle nesting season is over. The FDEP Permit for CO #16 has been obtained.

BOARDWALK SEATING
DECKOVER was applied to boardwalk benches and Nance Park areas to improve the appearance. The product was also applied to the seating at the Volleyball Court.

BOARDWALK ACCESS
The exposed portion of the ramp deck at Access #6 from the boardwalk to the beach will be replaced with Moisture Shield.

TOWN HALL
The painting of Town Hall has been completed. White building to Crisp Linen and the building trim to Drizzle. This was approved by the Town Council November 18th meeting.

Within the upcoming years, the Public Works building and Nance Park restrooms will be painted.

NANCE PARK
The pavilions, swings and play equipment will have general repairs to be competed within the next few months.

IV. BEAUTIFICATION
STATUS OF BEAUTIFICATION AWARD SIGN
The sign will remain at the current location of 301 Third Avenue, until after the February meeting, and arrangements have been made to relocate the sign.

Tradewinds Park- Ms. Nadeau commented that the park looks great, with the landscaping being cut and weeded.

WAVECREST PARK, INDIALANTIC OCEAN BEACH PARK & WAVECREST EXTENSION PARK – LARRY MICHELSON
Mr. Michelson commented on the seating and sidewalk as a job well done.

DOUGLAS PARK & RIVERSIDE PARK – JOANNE NADEAU
No complaints.

NANCE PARK, SUNRISE PARK & SUNSET PARK – BERNIE GOTT
No complaints.

GUS CAREY PARK & SEA PARK – MARGE SCHWANBECK & YVETTE CAMPBELL
No complaints.

INDIAN RIVER & DEWEY PARK – BILL ANTONETZ

Ms. Campbell mentioned that the Tuckaway Shores fence is in need of repair. Mr. Chinault will look at the situation and take action if needed.
VI. RECREATION
TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY, DECEMBER 11, 2014
Ms. Berkman noted that the Indialantic Elementary School Chorus performed well. She also noted that they ran out of Starbucks 2 large and 1 medium hot chocolate containers along with cups. Winn Dixie donated three hundred cookies. Mayor Berkman made the announcements during the event. Members met in Nance Park at 6:45pm.

Some suggestions for this year were noted. Contact FPL to ensure that lights will be on for the event, which is after the no lights during turtle season. Contact Starbucks and ask if the Town is able to purchase a container, to be filled within the store for hot chocolate.

EASTER EGG HUNT- MARCH 28, 2015
Assignment of patches for egg hunt: Ms. Berkman age patch 0-2, Ms. Peters and Ms. Nadeau age patch 3-4, Mr. Michelson age patch 5-6, Ms. Campbell age patch 7-8. Ms. Mercer’s daughter and friend have volunteered to portray the role of the Easter Bunny, and the Chicken. Ms. Schwanbeck has already contacted the Clown. Ms. Schwanbeck will be available for the day of the event to complete the duties for the event as far as organization, signs, taping off patches, announcements/etc. Ms. Berkman’s daughter will fill the plastic eggs with candy. Ms. Berkman will then deliver the plastic eggs to other Committee members at their residences before the event date. Ms. Schwanbeck asked the members to arrive around 8:20am to assist in setting up.
