I. CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Ms. Berkman called the meeting to order at 9:17 a.m.

II. APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES
MINUTES 15-03; JANUARY 26, 2015
Ms. Campbell moved to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Gott seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

Ms. Berkman asked for a moment of silence, in recognition of Mr. Gott’s wife Nancy who recently passed away.

III. TOWN HALL REPORT- MR. CASSEDY
NEW PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
Mr. Cassedy introduced Mr. Joe Gervais, Jr. as the new Public Works Director, once he retires at the end of this month.

ORLANDO PARK
The swing set equipment has been ordered for general repairs to be competed within the next few weeks.

Basketball court resurfacing has been completed.

Staff is securing prices for the picnic shelter (approximately 20’ x 36’) to be completed. The contractor that completed the Town of Grant-Valkaria shelter will complete ours as well.

WAVECREST AVENUE
Public Works employees are painting the lines and bumper stops in the area of Wavecrest Avenue.

BOARDWALK SEATING
DECKOVER has been applied to boardwalk benches, which will improve the appearance.

BOARDWALK ACCESS
The exposed portion of the ramp deck at Access #6 from the boardwalk to the beach will be replaced with Moisture Shield.

NANCE PARK
FIBAR has been ordered for the area around the swings and tilted skyrunner.

IV. BEAUTIFICATION
STATUS OF BEAUTIFICATION AWARD SIGN
Mr. Michelson moved to recognize 107 Tradewinds Terrace, with the Committee’s beautification sign. Ms. Campbell seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously. Ms. Mercer will send a letter to the property owner advising of the Committee’s decision. The sign will remain at the current location of 301 Third Avenue, until arrangements have been made to relocate the sign. Nominations for the next location will be brought before the committee at the next scheduled meeting.

VI. RECREATION
EASTER EGG HUNT- SATURDAY, MARCH 28, 2015
Assignment of patches for egg hunt: Ms. Berkman age patch 0-2, Ms. Nadeau age patch 3-4, Mr. Michelson age patch 5-6, Ms. Campbell age patch 7-8. Ms. Mercer’s daughter and friend have volunteered to portray the role of the Easter Bunny, and the Chicken. Ms. Schwanbeck has already contacted the two clowns. One clown will do face-painting while the other clown will do balloons. Ms. Schwanbeck will be available for the day of the event to complete the duties for the event as far as organization, signs, taping off patches, announcements/etc. Ms. Schwanbeck will provide the candy to Ms. Berkman by the March 11th for the eggs to be filled. Ms. Berkman’s daughter will fill the plastic eggs with candy. Ms. Berkman will then deliver the plastic eggs to other Committee members at their residences before the event date. Ms. Schwanbeck asked the members to arrive around 8:20am to assist in setting up.

Ms. Peters will not be able to attend the event and is excused.
