RIP CURRENT SIGNS
Public Works will install new rip current signs at each public beach access point within the Town, fourteen total. The new signs were provided by the County, at no cost. They have a Quick Response code and a telephone number so beach patrons can access locations of lifeguarded beaches as well as receive emergency text alerts should inclement weather be approaching.

RENAMING OF SUNSET PARK
Council will be discussing re-naming Sunset Park, requested by Councilmember Hoffman. Councilmember Hoffman advised that the Parks, Recreation and Beautification Committee unanimously voted to rename “Sunset Park” as “Vincent Benevente Sunset Park” and noted that although the County’s policy does not allow parks to be named after living persons, many municipalities have policies allowing parks to be named after people who have made significant contributions to the community. She stated that Mr. Benevente was instrumental in the development of the park and has served on various Town boards and committees including the Town Council.

BOARDWALK ACCESS
The exposed portion of the ramp deck at Access #6 from the boardwalk to the beach was replaced with Moisture Shield. Ramp surface replacement from the boardwalk to the beach has been completed.

NANCE PARK RESTROOMS
The roof on the restrooms at the park is in need of repair. Mr. Gervais will complete the research for a roofing company to complete the project. Currently the roof is metal. Estimates are ranging from aluminum roof- $10,600 to shingle roof- $4,600.

MEMORIAL BENCH FOR STEVE KENYON
Mr. Chinault advised a memory bench will be installed in Nance Park in recognition of Steve Kenyon, a former Town employee, who recently passed away. The Town is waiting to secure a price for the concrete slab.
