Boardwalk: Mr. Cassedy noted that Council approved renovating the Boardwalk in Indialantic Ocean Beach Park. The project is divided into 6 phases for an approximate cost of $50,000 with the completion date expected in January, 2013. Material has been ordered for phases 1 and 2 using the paver revenue and Parks Projects money. Completion of all of the phases will require money from the 5th Annual WW 5k. The first phase will consist of replacing the boardwalk deck and the second phase will consist of redecking Access 6 from the parking lot to the boardwalk. It was noted that the boardwalk will be closed during the day while renovation is occurring but will be opened each evening. Public Works personnel will perform the work approximately 3 days per week.

Sunrise Park costs: for a shower the cost will be $3,500 using Melbourne water and $1,278 using the existing well; for a foot wash the cost will be $3,200 using Melbourne water and approximately $1,200 using the existing well. Sea Park costs: for a shower the cost will be $4,500 using Melbourne water and $4,600 using a well; for a foot wash the cost will be $4,500 using Melbourne water and $4,600 using a well. There will also be additional monthly electrical and maintenance costs if a well is utilized and monthly water and maintenance costs if Melbourne water is used. Mr. Chinault also noted the possibility that locating a shower in either location could raise concerns by adjacent property owners with regard to use of the facilities by homeless individuals.
