MINUTES OF A ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD IN THE INDIALANTIC TOWN HALL ON APRIL 24, 2012

PRESENT: John MacNeill, Chairman
Tom Kleving, Vice-Chairman
Rick Bertel, Member

1. CALL TO ORDER AT 5:30 PM

Chairman MacNeill called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.

2. APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES

A. Minutes 12-05, March 27, 2012

Vice-Chairman Kleving moved to approve the minutes as written. Mr. Bertel seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

3. APPLICATIONS

A Site Plan Approval – Indialantic One Condominium, Lots 1.XA, Blk. 66, 601 North Miramar Avenue, Indialantic, Florida 32903

Town Manager Chinault recommended approval of the plan with the following conditions:
Ø The fence must be set back 10 feet from the northern property line per Code Section 17-88(3)(b).
Ø The fence cannot extend to the top of the dune.

Robert Budbid, Central Park Blvd., Melbourne Beach, Fl, spoke on behalf of Indialantic One Condominium. He stated the main purpose of the fence was to keep the people that park at the meters to stop cutting across the property to use the ramp and the pool at Indialantic One Condominium.

Vice-Chairman Kleving moved to approve the site plan as submitted with the following conditions as noted by staff:
1. The fence must be set back 10 feet from the northern property line per Code Section 17-88(3)(b)
2. The fence cannot extend to the top of the dune

Mr. Bertel seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

4. REPORTS AND DISCUSSIONS

A. Discussion of Town Code Section 17-112 Skateboard Ramps

The Board discussed restrictions for skateboard ramps. The Board gave Town Manager Chinault direction on drafting the language for skateboard ramps.

5. REPORT FROM BUILDING OFFICIAL

A. Reports are included in packets for informational pages to the Board.

6. ADJOURNMENT

Vice-Chairman Kleving moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:10 pm. Ms. Mayer seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
