VI. RECREATION
Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, March 31, 2012 @ 9:00am
It was agreed by consensus that the Town would not provide a porta-pottie at the egg hunt on 3/31/12. No complaints were made. Ms. Berkman advised that only one mother asked, but nothing negative was mentioned with no porta-potties. Ms. Mercer will mail out thank-you letters to the event participants. Ms. Schwanbeck, emailed Ms. Mercer questions and concerns for the Committee’s consideration:
* Suggestion for next year’s Easter egg hunt: some small trinkets inside some eggs. example: lick on tattoos, rings, and dollar store items. The Committee was in agreement, with Ms. Schwanbeck preparing the event for the previous years, it is to be her choice if she chooses to change it from candy.
* Why was there such a small turnout this year? Suggestions were that Spring Break was held the previous week for Brevard County, there was an Air Show within the County and there were sporting events. For next year, it was suggested that there be an email blast sent with the Town Council agenda and signs be placed within the Park promoting the event.

Fifth Annual Indialantic Witch Way 5K, Saturday, October 13, 2012
The WW5K Team will ask for approval from the Town Council that 10% of the net proceeds of the 2012 race, be donated to Florida Wildlife Hospital & Sanctuary, Inc., 4560 North U.S. Highway 1, Melbourne, Florida 32935. It was suggested to ask for a donation, along with the registration, from the Wish List. A few listings of the Wish List are paper towels, bleach, laundry detergent, trash bags, postage forever stamps, and gift cards. The Florida Wildlife Hospital & Sanctuary, Inc. inquired about having a table at the event for people to register for membership to the organization, drop off donated items from the Wish List and animals on display. Mr. Gott and Mr. MacNeill suggested this organization for the WW5K to support.

The next meeting of the WW5K Team will be held in the Town Council Chamber on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 8:30 a.m.
