I. Call to Order
Chairperson Marx called the meeting to order at 8:02 a.m.
II. Approval of prior Meeting Minutes
Minutes 08-12; September 16, 2008
Ms. Bozeman opposed the minutes. The minutes should have read as followed:
IV. Projects
A. Potential Interviewee Schedule
January 2009 schedules for interviews. Chairperson Marx will contact Mr. Goldfarb about interviews. The goal is for eight to be completed in January 2009.
B. Archive Files
Ms. Andren advised the committee that archiving has been on vacation for the past few weeks. Ms. Andren has been gathering items to go to Melbourne Beach for the showing of Indialantic. Getting the exhibit in Melbourne Beach completed. Tying up loose ends. Filing past interviews promptly. Cleaning out photos from photo contest. Mr. Goldfarb would like to put the postcards on the Town’s newest website, when the website is up and running. Mr. Goldfarb would like to have access to the postcards.
Ms. Bozeman motioned to approve the minutes from Meeting 08-12; September 16, 2008. Ms. Sherman seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
III. Report from Chairperson Marx
A. Past Weekend Events were a success.
Friday 10/17/08- Friday at Fifth
Saturday 10/18/08- Witch Way 5K and Indialantic’s Annual Halloween Party
Sunday 10/19/08- City Tropics Bistro, Wine Event
B. Melbourne Beach
The event was a success. Ms. Andren suggested a time era for the next exhibit. Chairperson Marx suggested 1940’s for the War era.
C. Indialantic Show and Tell
Committee’s display and resident’s items.
Judge Ann Hayward has numerous postcards of interest.
A time to get names for Potential Interviewees for audio or photograph.
Ms. Paige suggested her neighbor whom works in audio/photo non-commercial.
Ms. Bruffey advised that “The Pink Lady” Jean Paulis has a 25th Anniversary
Scrapbook.
Ms. Bozeman looked through the scrapbook for the Town’s 55th Anniversary from
Indialantic Elementary.
Ms. Bruffey will contact I.E.S. to see if the committee could borrow a scrapbook.
Chairperson Marx advised that Officer DesChenes is unable to attend today
meeting, but is willing to participate in the event.
Chairperson asked Ms. Bozeman to be in charge of the P.R. for this event.
Chairperson advised the Committee that she will be out of town for this event.
Chairperson Marx will purchase cider and cookies from Sam’s Club of trays of
cookies. The items will be taken to Ms. Bozeman for storage.
Ms. Paige suggested to purchase cookies from a Dollar Store.
Ms. Dunn will purchase small clear plastic cups.
Chairperson Marx has plenty of napkins and will provide them to Ms. Bozeman.
Ms. Earp will provide the cider.
Mr. Constantino will set up in a corner with a square table which Ms. Bozeman
will bring from home, on Saturday, 11/15/08.
Ms. Dunn will be in charge of setting up Sunday, 11/16/08. Time for setup is
1:30 p.m.
Ms. Quilleux will bring tables from home.
Ms. Andren suggested using the copy room for audio taping if anyone was
interested that day.
Ms. Bruffey suggested having a guest book for attendee’s the sign in. Chairperson
Marx will purchase and provide to Ms. Bozeman.
Ms. Andren suggested that 2:00 p.m. Saturday, 11/15/08 for setup of Council
Chambers.
Ms. Bozeman will address the event as the lead speaker, point of contact.
Ms. Dunn suggested name tags. Ms. Sherman volunteered to supply them.
Ms. Bozeman suggested a sales table for DVD’s and Postcards. Chairperson asked
Ms. Grout is she would be in charge. Ms. Grout agreed.
Ms. Bozeman will get the P.R. going and then email it to other committee
members to pass along.
Ms. Andren will bring in a television of have the DVD’s playing at a low volume.
Ms. Andren will take casual pictures and video of the event.
Ms. Earp will contact “Dan” for video taping the event.
V. Other Potential Interviewees
Ms. Quilleux The Mestayer’s at 235 Watson Drive.
Jean Parks, 88y.o.a. and has broken hip for second time.
The Water’s at 323 Bahama Drive. Said yes, then no, then will get
with husband. Out of Township.
The Johnson’s at 580 Watson Drive.
Ms. Dunn Reba Echols. Spoke with her on the phone, but will see in person,
and conversation will be better.
Ms. Paige Will be interviewed by Chairperson Marx.

Pointer, Susie Rich is out of state
Betty Preece, would like to interview her as soon as possible.
Frank J, Thomas of Melbourne Beach
Cindy Talone, Ms. Quilleux has yet to get a call back.
Ed Silverhorn, has left the Country.

Ms. Bruffey Poulas, Jean is the Pink Lady that responded from the newspaper
article a few months ago.
Ms. Bozeman Will be updating P.I. L. and email the committee’s members.
Mr. Constantino Advised that he’s good around the holidays in December for taking
pictures.
